ENCINITAS, Calif. (KGTV) — A staircase that gives access to stonesteps beach is back open following a months-long repair project.
The staircase reopened Wednesday afternoon after being closed since January after the stairway platform and support beam was deemed unsafe.
Emergency repair work concluded in June. The city said more work needs to be done, but the work won’t be completed until the end of the summer season.
